Five days on the French Riviera, gay and uncomplicated
One hotel in Nice. Four directions. No attempt to turn every hour into specifically gay tourism. We add the LGBTQ+ context where it helps, then get back to the sea.
Where to sleep for this itinerary
You are using Nice as a transport base, so station access matters more here than on the nightlife page. See the full stay guide →

Hotel Ozz
The easiest budget-minded base when you will use the train repeatedly.

Le Windsor, Jungle Art Hotel
Art-led, central and more characterful than a standard chain hotel. About 800 metres from Nice-Ville station and 500 metres from the Promenade.

Cours Saleya, Old Nice, Castle Hill, lunch, the Port and a swim. In the evening, check the current LGBTQIA+ calendar if you want a dedicated venue or event. Open the Gay Nice guide →
Day 2, Nice, slower
Choose one cultural stop, then give the afternoon to the sea. Castel Plage currently holds the Nice Rainbow label, if that matters to you.
Day 3, Villefranche + Cap-Ferrat
Go east for the bay, old streets and a slower rhythm. Continue towards Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat if energy and weather agree. This is exactly the kind of day where the LGBTQ+ part becomes irrelevant, which is rather the point.
Day 4, Antibes, then Cannes
Train west. Give Antibes enough time for the old town and sea. Continue to Cannes later if the Croisette appeals. Return to Nice at night if you want its LGBTQ+ scene.
Day 5, Monaco + Menton, or refuse to rush
They pair naturally by train. But another beach morning may be a better use of your remaining life. The itinerary will survive your disobedience.
A useful gay itinerary is not a separate Riviera, just a very good Riviera itinerary with the right base and reliable LGBTQ+ information.
