Nice if you want options and 24/7 obstetric emergency backup. Beaulieu if you want flat streets, a station and very little to organise. The hotel shortlist starts around €80 a night on the checked 2026 scale.

When to come
If dates are flexible, late May, June or September usually make the same coastline easier to live with than July and August.
The low-friction outing worth knowing
The Promenade Maurice Rouvier between Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat and Beaulieu is 1.3 km one way, 20 to 30 minutes on foot, fully tarmacked and stair-free. It is a much better fit for this trip than turning a coastal walk into a hike.
Build days around energy, not ambition
- One main outing per day is enough.
- Keep the hotel within easy reach at midday.
- Front-load walking before lunch in hot months.
- Use trains for Antibes, Cannes, Monaco and Menton.
- Keep one day with no destination at all.
Food, filtered for pregnancy
Freshly cooked socca, well-cooked farcis and cooked pissaladière are straightforward choices. French health guidance advises avoiding raw-milk soft cheeses, raw or undercooked meat, raw fish and shellfish, and taking care with raw produce where toxoplasmosis is a concern.
