MAMETAS SAYS

A real place. Sert, Miró, Giacometti, Braque, Chagall, the gardens and the light all work together. That is exactly why we send you here.

Why we go

Fondation Maeght was designed with artists rather than simply filled afterwards. Josep Lluís Sert’s architecture connects with the Giacometti courtyard, the Miró labyrinth, the mosaics and the gardens.

What to actually look at

Do not try to photograph everything. Look at the Miró labyrinth, the Giacometti courtyard and the works by Braque and Chagall built into the architecture, then give the outdoor spaces some time.
