Taxi, ride-hailing or car: real prices on the Riviera
Fixed fares from the airport, Monaco’s ride-hailing rule, what an hour of parking actually costs, and when the tram beats everyone.
Indicative 2026 fixed fare, 1 to 4 people.
The airport return ticket.
Free once a day, ticket still required.
From the airport, an official taxi at the fixed fare is simple; the tram is €10 return. In Monaco only Monaco taxis can pick you up. Driving in Nice, the first two hours of street parking are free, as long as you take a ticket.
Fixed taxi fares from Nice Côte d’Azur airport
2026 fixed taxi fares
Nice centre: €32. Antibes / Juan-les-Pins: €72. Cannes: €85. Monaco: €95.
The City of Cannes still lists €88 for Cannes: check before you get in. Cheaper: the tram, €10 return; every option in Airport to your base.
Indicative 2026 prices, all taxes included, 1 to 4 people. Taxi ranks are at Arrivals: door A1 at Terminal 1, door A3 at Terminal 2. An official taxi has a lit “TAXI” sign with the town name and a number, a meter and the fares displayed inside. Nice taxis only pick up at the airport ranks: ignore offers in the hall.
On the meter: what you owe and what you don’t
- The driver must accept card payment, whatever the amount.
- A receipt is mandatory from €25; below that, on request.
- Possible supplements: booking in Nice, Cannes or Antibes, €4 per passenger from the fifth, €2 per bag only if an external rack is needed or there are more than three cases per person.
- To book: Taxi Nice Riviera, +33 4 93 13 78 78; Cannes taxis, +33 4 93 99 27 27.
Ride-hailing
Uber and Bolt both operate at Nice airport, with pickup points shown in the app. Their prices are not regulated and move with demand. In Monaco, ride-hailing cars cannot pick up passengers, only drop them off. To leave Monaco by app, first get to a neighbouring French town.

Parking in Nice
A second stay the same day costs €1.20 an hour. Pay at the meter by card or cash, or with the PayByPhone app.
Fake QR codes stuck on parking meters. The city is clear: never scan a QR code on a meter, use only the official app.
To get into Nice without hunting for a space, the tram park-and-ride car parks are the simplest option; the central underground car parks post their rates at the entrance. Before renting, read Car or no car, and pick a hotel that works without one.
Parking in Monaco
In public car parks the first hour is free; after that, about €7.30 for two hours and €24 for twenty-four hours, based on the late-2024 tariff; rates are reviewed every year. On-street parking is free on Sundays.
