La Place is exactly the kind of address the Mametas hotel catalogue needed more of. You stay by the old town, you can walk to dinner, and the station remains practical enough for Cannes, Nice or the rest of the coastal line.
It will not give you the resort fantasy of Cap d’Antibes. That is the point. If the destination is the trip and the hotel is there to make it easier, the arithmetic becomes much more attractive.
