IRONMAN Nice: where to stay without making the race harder
You already have 226 kilometres to manage. Your hotel does not need to become the fourth discipline.

For an athlete, the best hotel is the base that simplifies the bike, bags, early start and post-finish walk. After 226 km, “only twenty minutes away” sounds very different.
The three points to put on your map
IRONMAN Village, Jardin Albert-Ier

Tram T2 links the airport to central Nice. With a boxed bike, a pre-booked taxi or transfer can be simpler. Before booking, ask about bike storage, very early breakfast, and bikes in rooms.
Use the current Athlete Guide
IRONMAN publishes race-year timings, entrances and transition maps. Do not plan 2027 from the 2026 guide (that race was cancelled) or an old screenshot.
For supporters
A central base makes it realistic to see the start, return to the city during the bike, then come back to the Promenade for the run and finish.
