Where to eat around the bay
Villefranche itself is tiny. Dinner can easily spill into Beaulieu or Cap-Ferrat. Eight choices are more useful than twenty terraces picked on looks alone.

The view is everywhere here, so it cannot be the only criterion. Yes, we are demanding. The bay will recover.

Fish on the quay: La Mère Germaine (€€€). Old-town small table: La Belle Etoile (€€€). Beaulieu without ceremony: So’Mets (€€), La Table de Julien (€€). Smart Cap lunch: La Table du Royal (€€€€), Jasmin Grill (€€€). Big night: Le Restaurant des Rois (€€€€), Le Cap (€€€€).
La Mère Germaine
Villefranche’s historic house. But: location is part of the bill, though at least the place has history and a real speciality.
Official source ↗︎Google Maps ↗︎La Belle Etoile
A small old-town table. But: no postcard panorama. You may have to look at the food.
Official source ↗︎Google Maps ↗︎So’Mets
A Michelin selection in the area’s gentler price bracket. But: less iconic, more useful.
Michelin Guide ↗︎Google Maps ↗︎La Table de Julien
Another Michelin-listed Beaulieu option that does not make every dinner a financial event. But: come to eat.
Michelin Guide ↗︎Google Maps ↗︎La Table du Royal
Royal-Riviera in elegant mode. But: Cap-Ferrat pricing, naturally.
Michelin Guide ↗︎Google Maps ↗︎Jasmin Grill & Lounge
The more relaxed Grand-Hôtel option. But: still a luxury hotel, just without turning lunch into a ceremony.
Michelin selectionGoogle Maps ↗︎Le Restaurant des Rois
The gastronomic table at La Réserve. But: planning and budget; do not schedule much else that evening.
Michelin Guide ↗︎Google Maps ↗︎Le Cap
The palace’s gastronomic restaurant. But: Cap-Ferrat at full volume, price included.
